Egemen B. Bezci is a policy analyst based in Istanbul. Egemen is a recipient of the Jean Monnet Scholarship and is currently pursuing his research on civil-military relations theory at the Istanbul University Faculty of Political Science. He received his bachelor degree in international relations from Bilkent University and previously studied at the University of Maine, Utrecht University and the University of Groningen, and he also took graduate courses at Johns Hopkins SAIS Bologna Center. In 2011 Egemen was selected to participate in the Tikvah Institute in Religion and Politics held at the Oxford Center for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He has published articles on Turkish politics at the Journal of Church and State, the Asia Times, Tel Aviv Notes, and e-IR. Egemen has worked on the subjects of civil-military relations, terrorism, Eurasian and Middle East Politics at various institutions in Ankara, Tel Aviv and the D.C. area.
